Moving to Armidale at the age of 17 Patris attended the University of New England. She really only intended to stay until she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree and Graduate Certificate in Writing. Her dedication to the area was strengthened when she purchased her “forever home” in Armidale in 2016. That commitment was further cemented when she married her partner Joe Field last year. A celebration at the beautiful Peterson’s Winery in Armidale, holds special memories for them both.
