Looking for a double storey house design to meet your family’s needs?

Published on June 14, 2018

Are you finding it difficult to find a block of land, large enough to fit a spacious family home? Do you have a block with sweeping views and want to take advantage of this in your home design layout? Well the solution for all of these issues, is to consider a double storey house design.

It seems that most land estates are favouring smaller lot sizes these days. Some people think that this is great as there is usually less to maintain. For the most part this is true. However, it can be difficult to get a family sized home on a smaller block. This is even more critical if you want to have room for outdoor entertaining and perhaps a pool as well.

You may already have your block of land. Perhaps you fell in love with this because of its’ sweeping views. Now you want to design your home to take advantage of this and also the breezes you get from this elevated location.

A double storey house design will be the solution if you want:

• A spacious home on a small block
• To optimise sweeping views
• Take advantage of prevailing breezes
• Separate room for guests or a teenagers retreat

In response to customer demand, Perry Homes are expanding their range of double storey house designs that are functional, versatile and stylish. The portfolio of plans in the Perry Homes double storey house designs, will fit most sized blocks and vary in size from the compact to the spacious.

The stylish double storey house design Santa Fe 28 has been planned to fit neatly on the narrowest of blocks. With a house width of just 10.72metres, this four bedroom, three bathroom home features a downstairs bedroom and bathroom which is perfect for guest accommodation.

There is also the impressive five bedroom Parklane 31. This design also features a bedroom and bathroom downstairs and is only just over 11metres wide. The modern façade of the Parklane is the perfect solution in a double storey house design, which showcases functionality and versatility.

You could also consider the La Pad 36 which is a square plan of 13.42m wide and only 12.94 deep. This five bedroom double storey house design features a bedroom, bathroom, rumpus and media room down stairs. All the other living areas and bedrooms are upstairs. This is perfect if you want to take advantage of views in the majority of your living areas. It also provides a great space for either guest accommodation or it would make the perfect teenagers retreat.

Beach House 43Impressive on the inside and out, the Beach House 43 features an expansive entertaining area on the ground level.  To maximise the views from upstairs, this double storey house design, also includes both front and back balconies. The three living areas in this double storey house design, provides endless opportunities for entertaining both upstairs and downstairs.

There are other four and five bedroom plans available and we are continuously expanding the double storey house designs in the Perry Homes portfolio.

However, if you can’t find what you are looking for we can still help. We have an experienced team of design professionals who can take your ideas and design a home which completely meets the needs of your family.
